At the Y, you aren’t just a member of a facility you are a part of a cause. We are the leading charitable organization in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We provide opportunities you need to become healthy, confident, and connected to others. When you join our “Y family” you will be encouraged by staff & others to get involved in programs, activities, volunteerism, philanthropy, and become an advocate of the Y’s cause of strengthening our community.

NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP

Members are welcome at more than 1,000 Y’s nationwide. Going on a vacation, business, or family trip? Try a dip in another Y’s pool, check out their weight room, or visit a fitness class! Contact the Y you are planning to visit for details. Proof of membership required. To participate in a paid program you would still need to pay the public/nonmember rate, as you are not a member of that Y.

SILVER SNEAKERS

SilverSneakers is a benefit offered to members of many Medicare plans across the US. If you are a part of Medicare health plan or if you are a group retiree you may already have the SilverSneakers benefit. Stop by the Y desk today to find out if you qualify!

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Continuous Draft: Choose either credit/debit card or checking/savings account to be debited automatically once per month on the 1st or 15th. Annual, 3 month, or 6 month memberships: Dues paid in full upon joining and renewed at the end of the term.

MEMBERSHIP CARD

Your member card is linked to your photo. For safety members should never loan their card to others; this will result in loss of membership privileges. Member card required to check out some items in the facility. Members can save a photo of the barcode on their membership card to a mobile device and use this to scan in as well. Replacement cards $5

HOLD POLICY

Membership may be put on hold for up to 4 months per year. Holds must be initiated in advance. Locker rentals not available for holds. Contact Jodi Wall for more information.

TERMINATING MEMBERSHIP

30-day notice is required for terminating membership. Your termination must be submitted in writing. Example– To cancel for June; fill out form in May. Not coming, will not stop your membership billing continues until the form is completed.

We believe in opportunities for all to experience the endless benefits of the Y. We want to get to know you and you to know us. Guests must present a current photo ID and purchase a pass as described below. As a member based organization the Y reserves the right to curtail/limit guest visits. Use the facility more than 3x in a month? Save with a membership...
Up to 3 guest passes from up to 3 months prior can be applied toward a new membership if you decide to purchase a membership!


 

Financial Assistance

We strive to be a place for everyone to belong. If our membership rates are outside of your family's monthly budget, ask for a scholarship form include your financial information to and get help today. We will contact you with a more affordable rate on membership and/or programs that is good for 6 months. After 6 months, resubmit your application and you will be contacted again.

WHAT IS AN INCOME BASED SCHOLARSHIP?

Program and membership are based on what we need to cover building fees, staff costs and supplies, we work hard to keep costs as low as possible by partnering with other businesses and organizations in our community. When you are given a discount on your membership or program fee that does not mean we are simply able to just give a better price, as we need all of the fee we charge in order to run our programs, the difference is made up by our scholarship fund.

WHERE DOES THE INCOME BASED SCHOLARSHIP MONEY COME FROM?

Every year Y staff and Board Members spend several months seeking support from the community for the Y’s Annual Campaign. Y staff hold several fundraisers over the course of the year supported by businesses in our community. As a non-profit, when we have a program that is doing great, we don't keep excess and there are no bonuses, the excess goes to other programs that need support like the scholarship fund to change people's lives.

PAPERWORK YOU’LL NEED:

Monthly household income/expenses: wages, spouse's wages, security/disability payments, child support, alimony, public assistance, unemployment compensation, link card, interests, dividends, retirement, mortgage or rent, utilities, food, medical, child support. Please bring copies of your most current W2, any other household income, and 2 most current pay stubs.

WHAT WILL I PAY?

Scholarships are based on percentage. For example, you may get a 30% discount on programs and membership, this would mean you would be asked to pay 70% of the regular membership or program fee. The percentage is developed using a sliding income scale from your total household income. (This does include others who may reside with you).

HOW TO APPLY

Ask for a scholarship application at the courtesy desk. Complete the application fully; return it with ALL needed information and paperwork. (We can make copies if you need, or please bring them with you.) We will contact you with scholarship fees and information to complete the process. Come to the Y pay your join fee and membership percentage for the month and get started that day! Every 6 months, you will need to re-apply. The scholarship is a full standard membership and all membership policies apply. Please review our policies so you understand your membership.
